Know How to Choose a Perfect Yoga Training Class

Before choosing a yoga training class there are few things which are to be considered in order to make the best choice of your trainer, class and the course. As these are three things which are needed to be chosen in a perfect manner. Lets see how to take extra care while selecting these three important factors which contribute a lot to the success of yoga practice for any individual.

Choosing the trainer: Apart from all the regular certifications and the experience there are few soft skills that the trainer needs to posses in order to become a good trainer. Here there are three factors again which help you to judge whether you have opted for a perfect trainer or not. Firstly, try to figure out his/her emotions and the way they are reacting to your queries. If he is cool, calm and answering each and every query with utmost patience and interest, then you are in a correct place. Also observe the voice of the trainer it should neither be demanding nor commanding like a coach. The tone should be gentle and in a guiding manner. Never ever, get cheated with the appearance of the trainer like wearing fashionable outfits and the way he is talking observe carefully and do cleverly.

The Place of the class: Make sure that the place is well ventilated, clean and have enough lighting facilities. It should be away from the crowd and free from pollution and other noises which are caused due to heavy traffic and huge crowds of people.

Course: And finally the course you are going to select. If you have any particular problem then explain it to the trainer and ask him to suggest the one which helps you to feel better by doing yoga. Or if you do not have any problem and just want to practice it for the sake of fitness and health it is better to choose the course which you may feel comfortable in.

These are the few things which help you in choosing a better yoga class for a good yogic experience.

Conquer Your Anger with Yoga

Anger is the strongest and most powerful of all the emotions. It is the root cause for many problems. There is an old saying which tells, “Never Promise while you are happy, and never decide while your are angry”. Because decisions made while we are angry are not always correct. It is just an outcome of our bad emotions. Anger drives us in a wrong way. If we are not able to control it we will loose every thing. No medicine is not yet invented to reduce our anger since anger is related to our mind and to our body.

Yoga which proved effective both for physical and mental problems is a best solution to conquer our anger. Through yoga we can make our mind calm and quiet so that it can be relaxed well. There are poses which are meant particularly for the people who cannot control their anger. It is popularly called as Urdhva Padmasana.

Urdhva Padmasana: Urdhva Padmasana in Sirshasana is an effective pose for anger management. Urdhava in Sanskrit means high above and padmasana is nothing but lotus pose. It is little bit tough to do. So never try it with out an experts supervision.

This pose gives an extra pull to your dorsal region, ribs and pelvic region. The result of this asana is it helps in the chest expansion and thus allows the blood circulate well in the pelvic region. Regular practice of this pose helps to conquer the anger in a more effective way.

Common Misconceptions About Yoga

When I was surfing on the Internet, I found some interesting facts about Yoga. There are a lot of misconceptions about Yoga prevailing in people’s mind.
  • A person must be extremely energetic and flexible to practice yoga. It might be true for some yoga postures, which are a little bit difficult to practice and requires an agile body. A good yoga instructor can show the postures, which a person can perform. The fact is, just the effort, which a person makes to try to perform the posture, is sufficient to acquire the benefits of that posture.
  • Yoga is a sport. Due to the physical aspect (yoga postures) of yoga, some people assume yoga as a sport or an activity similar to body building. So, they consider yoga, as a casual passtime, which a person can take up, and practice occasionally just like any sport. But the fact is, yoga is the art and education of physical, mental and spiritual development. The exercises in yoga are considered as a part of diverse procedure of personal development. The postures are meant to prepare one’s body for mental and spiritual development.
  • Yoga is a religion. It was originated in Hinduism and Buddhism. You are mistaken, if you think that practicing is yoga joining a new religion. Yoga is a religion on its own.
  • Yoga is not for men. In some parts of world major portion of Yoga practitioners are women. So some men assume yoga as some thing unmanly. But this is not true as men and women can reap advantages from Yoga.
  • Yoga is a group activity and every person in the group must practice the same asanas at any given time. This is absolutely not true, because personal requirements of people vary from one person to the other. The proper asanas required must be selected depending on the individual’s requirements.
  • It is good to do yoga postures outdoors: This is not true. If yoga is practiced outside house even little breeze will make a person uncomfortable or even catch cold. Yoga can also practiced at home with windows open.
