Layoffs Still Seen On a Big Spree

The number would have been good if it were the number of incentives provided to the people who are suffering from economy’s crumble. But it is the number of layoffs.

Ranging from small companies to big public companies, it has become a compulsion to decrease the number of their employees so as to deal with the economic down turn.

And if we see, the business of layoff trackers is doing very well. They are very excited to show such big numbers in their score board.

The number of layoffs till November was around 540,000. And the November spree of layoffs has started at a full momentum. If we have a look at the Forbes number of layoffs it has already reached the 120,000 mark and is still going. AT&T has recently announced that it is going to cut down as much as 12,000 employees very soon.

But what hurts me is that even companies like Cummins are also firing their employees, even though they are in good position.
