Role of SMS Advertising in TV Channels

Television channels are using SMS advertising to get more audiences for their broadcast programs. Even though television channel is one of the major advertising tool, it makes use of television to advertise their programs. But in the present generation everybody is busy with their works, they are not interested to watch regular TV programs. Due to this, TV media is also using SMS advertising to advertise their programs.

The role of SMS ad for TV media is
  1. To give their programs information to a group of people.
  2. SMS ad is the major revenue tool for the TV media. Many times TV medias conduct SMS pole for different events. If the audience wants to respond for this pole, they will give a short code number. The event organizer pays some amount of money for the media, to give audience feedback.
  3. To send special programs information, like live shows, live debates and some special day programs, like valentines day special, Christmas day celebrations and national day programs.
  4. SMS advertising is cost effective tool. Through this an ad can reach many group of people. Mobile is a personal belonging, so the user carries it most of the times. If the television media sends ad via SMS, the mobile user will definitely see the ad.

The role of SMS advertising is growing greatly due to the above said features.
